Celebrated by the Virginia General Assembly through Senate Joint Resolution No. 60, Geraldine Smith was a woman of extraordinary compassion, spiritual leadership, and artistic talent. Known for her mesmerizing voice and unwavering devotion to ministry, she inspired generations through her work with youth, her global missionary travels, and her tireless acts of service by feeding, housing, and uplifting those in need. A native of Southern Virginia, Smith’s artistic journey began early. Recognized for his exceptional talent, he was immersed in the performing arts from childhood, refining his skills in mime, dance, and theater. His work has been showcased on national stages, including performances for the National Association for the Study and Performance of African American Music (NASPAAM), and alongside renowned figures like Elijah Coles Brown in Freedom Day. His transition into television saw him take on roles such as Melvin Weathers in TV One’s Payback and as a featured cast member of The Bro Code, a series exploring the modern experiences of Black Christian men.

His iconic mime persona, Interpretations, has become a beloved fixture in the industry, headlining productions such as Interpretations Live in the DMV, Just the Hits: Interpretations, and Christmas with Interpretations.
